NEW YORK, June 21 (Xinhua) -- U.S.-listed Chinese companies traded mostly higher on Tuesday with eight of the top 10 stocks by weight in the S&P U.S. Listed China 50 index ending the day on an upbeat note.

Shares of BeiGene and NIO soared 15.54 percent and 9.1 percent, respectively, leading the gainers in the top 10 stocks in the index.

Shares of JD.com and NetEase dipped 2.42 percent and 1.25 percent, respectively, the only two decliners in the top 10 stocks.

U.S. stocks rebounded on Tuesday as energy shares led the broad market higher.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 641.47 points, or 2.15 percent, to 30,530.25. The S&P 500 added 89.95 points, or 2.45 percent, to 3,764.79. The Nasdaq Composite Index increased 270.95 points, or 2.51 percent, to 11,069.30.

As of Friday, the S&P U.S. Listed China 50 index, which is designed to track the performance of the 50 largest Chinese companies listed on U.S. exchanges by total market cap, stood at 2,599.24, marking a 5.96-percent gain for the month-to-date returns and a 12.73-percent loss for the year-to-date returns.
